SOLOISTS
She is bewitching, gentle and still full of secret strength, which captures everybody’s imagination. This is how Moya Brennan’s voice is enchanting fans of traditional Celtic music over the last decades. The legendary singer of the Irish folk-band Clannad already performed with U2 frontman Bono in the song “I will find you” and now will cast her spell upon the Excalibur audience with authentic Irish singing.
Eric Fish, virtuoso in medieval music and frontman of Subway to Sally, inspires the German folk-community since 1992. With his successful solo-career and several guest performances together with icons like Skyclad or Faun, he belongs to the most diverse musicians of folk, rock and metal. His distinctive voice is truly special enrichment for the cast of Excalibur.
You can recognize his voice amongst thousands of others – Michael Sadler. As the lead-singer of the Canadian Prog-Rock Band SAGA, he’s been delighting his international audience for decades with his musical diversity and legendary charism. After 21 studio records with SAGA, one successful solo album and guest appearances with icons like Bobby Kimball or Ozzy Osbourne, he will now lend his voice to Excalibur. There he will impress his audience once more with his characteristic voice and his energetic stage presence.
As part of the legendary Kelly Family, John Kelly learned from an early age to be present and enthusiastic on stages all over Europe. Today he is a successful solo-artist that enthralls a worldwide audience. His experiences with the classic rock band Elfenthal make him predestinated to perform for Excalibur. Together with his wife Maite Itoiz his voice will proof his musical talent once more.
Maite Itoiz comes from a family of musicians. From an early age on she learned lyrical singing as well as classical-, jazz- and flamenco guitar. All of that happened before she reached international fame as an opera singer and as founding member of the classic rock band Elfenthal. Side by side with her husband John Kelly she is ready to show the Excalibur audience why she is considered one of the best soprano singers of Spain.
Her longstanding cooperation with Mike Oldfield, together with whom she performed “Moonlight Shadow” and her angel-like voice, earned her worldwide recognition as one of the best soprano singers, reigning in between David Gilmour and Juliane Werding. It is an honour that the Scottish singer with crystal clear voice is joining Excalibur.
In the time between 1968 until 2012 Martin Barre performed, together with the perfectionist Ian Anderson, as a guitarist and founding member of Jethro Tull. His riffs and virtuoso guitar solos advanced the sound of the band from Prog- and Folk-Rock over to world music. His big suitcase full of experience will add to the Celtic music tradition of Excalibur.
He gave Supertramp its individual sound through his extraordinary Saxophone and Clarinet playing. And to this day he is one of the reasons of Supertramps’ international success. John Helliwell’s epic sax solos adorned the first four records of Excalibur’s creator Alan Simon. And he will again influence the sound of the new song-cycle of the Celtic rock opera with his unique styles.
After accompanying his father Bob Siebenberg in 2002 on the drum set on the Supertramp’s album “Slow Motion”, Jesse Siebenberg’s career went through the roof. The multi-instrumentalist already featured on Alan Simon’s record “Gaia” as a solo artist. This musical prodigy will not only lend his guitar skills to Excalibur but also show his vocal skills, in order to enchant the audience.
Roberto Tiranti – aka Dun Aengus – already made himself known in the 1990s as the singer of the prog-metal-band Labyrinth. Musical appearances and legendary performances, for example in “Tristan & Isolde”, soon followed and expanded his repertoire. This exceptional singer is going to enrapture the Excalibur audience in a heartbeat, with his voice and guitar skills.
She is a Welsh-Australian harpist with an angel-like soprano voice and yet only 23-years old, she keeps the Classic & Folk music world in suspense. After performing as the lead character in Alan Simon’s “Tristan and Isolde” she will now unite her soulful harp with gracious acting and her incomparable, emotional voice.

SIOBHAN OWEN
With a career spanning over four decades, John is acknowledged as one of the most influential, skilled and creative singers and song writers in the history of rock. John Wetton has a signature voice. If bass playing was the first and most natural expression of his gift, his commanding voice, song writing skills and showmanship kept growing with every show and every album.
From King Crimson to UK to the super group Asia, the stages grew bigger and bigger and so did the audience. Asia had the worldwide hit “Heat of the Moment” on its debut album in 1982 which became the biggest selling album in the world that year.
His journey has set the bar very high, but John has risen to all the challenges life presented him and, once again, he is here to prove that the best is yet to come.
John has been part of the Excalibur adventure since 2007 with "Lugh" which has enjoyed success, and then in 2012 on Excalibur III, with the progressive rock song The Lost Season.
On this new tour he will perform two previously unreleased tracks.
